Evan has lost his 2^nd tooth. At this rate he will look like Bepaw soon. Toothless…And the tooth fairy is going to be broke.

Well He came a little earlier than expected but we have made arrangements for him. He is 2.7lbs.

Wookiee Onion Mann. I am sure you can guess who named him. Evan choose Wookiee Scarlett choose Onion, since that is what she calls Eliot from Pete’s Dragon. We got him yesterday isn’t he cute. He is a Yorkie mix.

He did pretty well yesterday. He had a few accidents but I am pretty sure that is normal for a 10 week old puppy. Phoebe is getting along with him great, and the kids will not leave him alone. They love having a new puppy. He didn’t sleep to well last night. He cried about every hour. I guess it is reminding us what having a newborn is like.

Evan’s 1^st tooth.

Evan and Scarlett were watching TV Thursday morning and on it they were talking about teeth and how you should take care of your teeth or you would get cavities. Also about how as you get older you loose your baby teeth and the tooth fairy comes to visit. Evan proceeds to come over to me and say mommy my tooth is coming out. I go Evan you saw that on TV your tooth is fine. (Mind you a few weeks ago he had 2 loose ones but they tightened back up) Evan goes no Mommy look. The tooth was sideways. GROSS. I show him how to wiggle his tooth and told him he could only do that at home. Well he went to school and on his way home nanny gave him a piece of gum. Low and behold this is what he looks like now.

The tooth fairy come to visit Evan. Man inflation really gets you doesn’t it. He got $5.00 I think I may have got a quarter. He was pretty excited when he woke up. He goes I didn’t think she was real. He couldn’t sleep all night due to being so excited. He was awake till 4am. YICKS!!

We took a short trip and I mean a short trip out of town this weekend. We headed up to Tommy’s sister’s house. We had a mission.

On Thursday we sold Tommy’s Honda civic. The kid was so excited to get it. He got a great deal and we got rid of the car. But that left us with 1 car. Tommy has been driving my car. Well what used to be my car. I am sure the guys at work have something to say about him driving an ORANGE HHR to work every day. It is a very manly car.

Anyways we were going to head out Friday but things changed. My friend was giving away a little Maltese. My sister in law wanted her so we waited around till Saturday morning so we could take her with us. Well I fell in love with this dog as soon as I saw her. I knew when Debbie told me about this dog I should have taken her. We were hoping that the dog wouldn’t be a good fit and that we would be able to bring her home. NO SUCH LUCK. She was great in the car and just a great dog all around. Tommy even loved her and didn’t want to let her go. But we did. She is being spoiled and loved. I tried to sneak out the door with her but was caught.

We hit 2 of the 3 kid’s games on Sat. We missed 1 but I think the football game made up for that one. I never knew flag football was so physical. Needless to say Evan will NEVER be playing football.

we also bought a car from Tommy’s sister. Since Tommy took my car and it wasn’t going to hold all the kids we thought it was time to get a bigger car again. So we bought a Suburban. It runs great looks great, has lots of room and the price was right.

We got up on Sunday and hung out for a little while and then meet up with Joe up at his office. We did my ultrasound and we have the sex of the baby. We are having another…….GIRL………

Sorry we have pictures but they aren’t very clear. So I will have another ultrasound in December since I am going to cancel my one this month and wait.

Who knew Tommy owned more than PJ’s

We have our ultrasound scheduled. I can’t wait. It is for October 29. I am pretty sure that this is a boy but we have a 50/50 shot so whatever it is we will be thrilled.

Tommy is getting ready to start his new job on Monday. He is pretty excited to start this new chapter in his life.

Evan is doing well in school he is still pretty bored as he is a little more advanced than the other kids.

Scarlett is growing like a weed. She acts like a little teenager. Attitude and all. She is in ballet and loves it.

Last Sunday as most people did in this area we lost power due to IKE. Who ever heard of people in Ohio getting hit by a hurricane I for one hadn’t until then. Tommy and I went to the casino for the night and were leaving and saw all kinds of stuff flying thru the air. (Picture Dorothy in the tornado in wizard of oz you know a cow flying thru the air) anyways we kept driving and it kept getting worse. We saw trailers flipped on the highway. We saw trees on houses. There were tons of power lines down. A barn roof peeled off like a can of sardines. A trailer home split in half. The list goes on and on. It took us a lot longer to get home due to roads closed everywhere. We finally get home and there was damage to our house. Not a lot but enough. Our roof had shingles missing and then a little bit of siding was down. There was nothing to major. But here is the kicker. During this crazy windstorm there was this crazy man selling us aerial shots of what out house used to look like. He could barely get out of his car, and still managed to try to get $190 out of us. Needless to say we weren’t too happy about it and didn’t buy it.

We made it till Tuesday when I woke up and packed up what was left in my deep freeze and went to my dads he got his power on the night before. So we stayed there until Sunday. Then we came back home. Evan still had school on most days so I had to drive him back and forth. When we came home Sunday most people had their power but we didn’t. The news was saying that 90% of the people would be back up and running by midnight but we weren’t that lucky. So we went to bed with out little battery operated fans, praying that the lights would be back up thru the night. NOT SO LUCKY.

Then yesterday came and I had enough. Our dear friends Jon and Erica had bought a generator and offered to let us use it. So I called them and Jon brought it up last night. He got it hooked up and was outside talking getting ready to leave and the lights flickered twice. Then they went back out. Then about an hour later they came back on for good. While they were trying to hook up the generator I went out to the garage and managed to step on a wasp. It stung my toe. I wasn’t happy it hurt so bad. To the point Jon came running and I let him look at my dirty nasty feet. I just wanted it out. He couldn’t see it so I called my mom to come get it out. The night continues with me goes to bed with a red swollen foot. Then about 15 min later Tommy comes in wanting me to help with the satellite. So I help with that. Then I go back to bed and fall back asleep and there starts banging on my window. I assume I am dreaming. I live in no mans land who is going to be at my window. Tommy goes to the front door and it is my mom I can’t remember what she wanted I just remember it was something about her water heater had exploded and there was water all over the basement. I then go back to bed to be woke up thru the night by sick kids that is always loads of fun.

We after all the money spent and power lost we are back home in half way working order. Our water smells something fierce. The hot water no longer is running. Also no food in the house except for bagels, sour cream, butter, cream cheese and milk. Basically what fits in the cooler, guess a trip to the grocery is in order. But once again it could have been so much worse. We are lucky the damage is minimal, and easily fixed.

Thanks Jon and Erica for letting us use your generator and hooking it up. Even if it was only for an hour, it was the greatest hour.

We hope everyone else is back up and running and learned a great lesson. Even if we aren’t near water I guess we can get hit by a hurricane also.

6 years where has the time gone…

6 years really. I can’t believe that we have already been married for 6 years. It doesn’t sound like a whole lot of time but we have done a lot in that short amount of time. Here is a run down of our lives the past 6 years.

We got married September 8, 2002

We went on our honeymoon on a wonderful 15 day cruise in October and November

I quit working in January of 2003

February 03 Tommy bought phoebe for me for my birthday

April 03 we had Evan

June 03 we started looking for land.

Somewhere during the early to mid part of 04 we bought land.

April of 04 we celebrated Evan’s 1^st birthday.

April 04 we got pregnant with Scarlett

May 04 we put out old house on the market

June 04 we got the bright idea to move in with dad until out house was completed…

July 04 we went on a couple’s only trip to Gatlinburg

September 04 house not finished like it should have been. If I remember right there was still just a hole in the ground.

January 7, 05 Scarlett made her grand appearance.

January 8, 05 Tommy moved us into my mom’s house…yes that is 3 places in less than a year.

September 05 we moved into our house. It wasn’t completed by any means but it was either we move in or we divorce. And as you can tell we moved in. to only stay a few hours and pack up and go back to my moms for the rest of the week. But the next weekend we moved in and never looked back. We just wished we had running water….showers, flooring, and the list goes on….but as time went on Tommy got it all done.. yeah Tommy….

January 06 Scarlett’s 1^st birthday

January 06 Evan started preschool

Decemeber 06 the kids added jar jar to the family

Not much more happened in 06

07 still a calm year…Evan broke his arm.

08 has been a little busy.

February 08 Tommy and I took a 7 day cruise. Tons of fun.

June 08 we found out we were having another baby.

August 08 Evan started kindergarten.

September 08. no major events yet. Except for our 6 years.

Happy anniversary Tommy. I love you…

Writing down our life in the past few years doesn’t look like a whole lot went on but it sure felt like it…. i was planning on adding pictures but the scanner wasn’t working will keep trying…

evan had his first day of school yesterday. he has been so excited, to the point of not sleeping. we took him a few weeks ago to get his school clothes and supplies. he thought that was pretty exciting. we did end up getting him into one of the 2 schools that we were petitioning to get him into. it wasn’t our first choice but we are please that he is in a good and safe school. scarlett is pretty bored during the afternoon. since she has no one to play with she just wonders around the house asking when she can go to school. yesterday we had a disagreement on her age. she said she was 5 so she could go to school and i tried my hardest to explain to her that she was only 3 and they don’t let 3yr olds in school. i told her she can go to ballet next week but that wasn’t good enough. oh well.

i did get teary when i dropped evan off. not sure if it was him growing up or hormones from the baby or maybe just both. i know that soon he will be off to college. it really goes that fast. i guess i can understand why they say you blink and they are all grown up.

after i dropped evan off at school i get a phone call from dear old tommy. asking me if i forgot anything. (i hate it when this question is asked because in the end you end up looking like the knuckle head) my reply is i guess since you are asking this. he took my keys to work. so guess who can’t go pick up who at school. well i tracked my mom down who was going to meet me at the school to see where evan would be picked up anyways she left work a few min early to pick me up so i could make it to the school on time to get evan. it was crazy when we got there they said he would be at the office. get to the office no evan. i walk to the class no kids but a sign on the door that says pick the kids up at the office so we walk back down. long story short we found them outside. evan was the last kid and was almost in tears. nothing like starting the school year off on a good foot right.

evan has been pretty upset about not being able to ride the school bus. mind you it is only about a 5 min. drive to the school but since we are open enrollment we provide transportation. so today i talked with the school about dropping evan off at a bus stop. they told me where to take him BUT he would be the only kg on the bus. i was like uhhhhhhhhhhh i will just keep taking him and picking him up. besides it is also closer than where he was going to preschool.

she loves this thing…we bought it last week for them but she has claimed it for her own…

here is a craft that evan made out of beads no pattern or help. except for ironing it.. if you look at the picture you can see he has made the other people from spongebob including his house… evan even made him a hat for work…yeah is he creative or what….
